Spring 2019 Youth Ministry Schedule

Sanctuary is off to a great start this semester with a really interesting new message series called Good vs. Evil.  Students are talking about awareness of the supernatural world and the forces of good and evil.

It takes your partnership to make this ministry possible.  The greatest predictor of a student's faith in Christ in adulthood is how much and how often they see the trusted adults around them live that faith out in meaningful, life-changing ways.  Please encourage your children and the other youth you can influence to engage the Christian faith in daily life. Sanctuary is one great way that we work with our kids to promote that faith development!

We've got a lot of fun and solid discipleship going on at Sanctuary.  We're starting to look ahead to Confirmation for our 8th graders, high school graduation recognitions, and other major milestones.  Here's a quick rundown of the schedule for all of our planned youth ministry events through the end of the school year.  If you've got any questions, text or call me at 308-999-9027.

Season of Epiphany (Jan-Feb):

• Sanctuary, 7:00pm-8:30pm on January 9, 16, 23, and 30 — Good vs. Evil
• Sanctuary, 7:00pm-8:30pm on February 6, 13, 20, and 27  — Lectio Divina
• Wednesday, February 27 — No Sanctuary (Parent-Teacher Conferences)

Season of Lent (Mar-Apr):

• March 6 — Ash Wednesday worship, 7:00pm.  Youth and families are strongly encouraged to attend.
• March 13, 20, & 27, and April 3 & 10 — Lenten Services, schedule will be:
  • 6:00pm — Lenten Soup Supper — all invited!
  • 6:45pm — Lenten Midweek Worship — Topic TBA, all invited!
  • 7:45pm — Sanctuary small groups until 8:30pm
• April 17 — No Sanctuary (Holy Week)
• April 18 — Maundy Thursday worship, 7:00pm.  Youth and families are strongly encouraged to attend.
• April 19 — Good Friday worship, 7:00pm.  Youth and families are strongly encouraged to attend.
• April 20 — Vigil of Easter worship at 9:00pm.

Season of Easter (Apr-May:

• April 20 — Easter Sunday!
• April 24 — Sanctuary, 7:00pm-8:30pm — Topic TBA
• April 28 — Confirmation Sunday and High School Graduation quilt ceremony, 10:03am
• May 1 — Sanctuary, 7:00pm-8:30pm — Topic TBA
• May 5 — Charter Sunday, 10:03am — Celebrating the official chartering of Spirit of Grace Church as an organized congregation of the ELCA!
• May 12 — High School Graduation
• May 15 — Sanctuary End of School Year Party, 7:00pm-8:30pm
